CharacteristicsLithium Hexafluorophosphate is a white crystal or powder. It has strong deliquescence, easily soluble in water, also soluble in low concentration methanol, ethanol, propyl alcohol, acetone, carbonate and other organic solvents. Relative density: 1.50g/cm3, Melting point: 200. It is easy to decompose when exposed to air or heated. In the air, it rapidly decomposes due to the action of water vapor, releasing PF5 and white smoke, which is corrosive to the eyes, skin and especially the lungs.

UsesLithium hexafluorophosphate is mainly used as the electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries. It features excellent ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability, and is currently the most commonly used lithium salt electrolyte in the market.
