China's electrolyte production in the first half of 2024 increased by 15.5% year-on-year

In the first six months of 2024, total electrolyte production reached 558,390 tons, an increase of 15.5% compared to 483,380 tons in the first half of 2023.

The electrolyte market presents obvious stage characteristics. Data show that after the end of the Spring Festival holiday, the downstream demand for electrolyte gradually picked up.

Affected by the rising price of lithium hexafluorophosphate, the price of electrolyte increased slightly.

This prompted downstream enterprises to increase the purchase and inventory accumulation of electrolytes, which promoted the rapid growth of production from February to May, reaching the peak of the stage.

However, with the rapid decline in the price of lithium carbonate and the decline in terminal demand, the procurement of downstream enterprises has weakened, and the digestion of the previous inventory, the output of electrolyte has declined to a certain extent in June.
