Properties：White crystal with a slight odor. Melting point: 78.0-81.0℃. Slightly soluble in water (about 0.5%). 95% ethanol has a solubility of 5%. Soluble in ethers. Slightly soluble in non-volatile oil, insoluble in white mineral oil.

Uses：Chlorphenesin is a kind of antiseptic, which can inhibit and kill G+, G-, Aspergillus Niger, penicillium pinophil, candida albicans and saccharomyces cerevisiae. Widely used in cosmetics and compatible with most preservatives (including potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, methylisothiazolinone).
